EBooks are Electronic Books. Traditionally they are a digital version of a book that has been published on paper. EBooks can be accessed in two ways:

  • They can be read with a web browser over an internet connection
  • They can be downloaded and accessed without the need for a connection to the Internet. An example would be a PDF version that can be downloaded, saved and viewed at your leisure. EBooks are also commonly compiled using software that allows you to download the EBook and read offline using the vendors software.

  • With their capacity for storage, encourage the publishing of books with many pages, books that might be too expensive to produce (and purchase) in paperback

Mr Smith has a number of other contacts in his address book who only last week whilst playing golf were talking about the same problem.
